BJP MP Locket Chatterjee reached the police station against Akhil Giri
Questions raised on Mamta Banerjee's silence
New Delhi, The issue of derogatory remarks against President Draupadi Murmu by Akhil Giri, a minister in the Mamata Banerjee government, is gaining momentum. BJP MP from Hooghly Locket Chatterjee has filed a complaint regarding this matter at North Avenue Police Station in New Delhi today. Locket Chatterjee in his complaint has requested the police to take immediate action and register an FIR against Akhil Giri under sections of the IPC and SC-ST Act. In a conversation with the media, he said that the way Akhil Giri has insulted Draupadi Murmu, Mamta Banerjee did not make any statement even though she was a woman.
Locket Chatterjee said that Mamta Banerjee should answer on this matter. Akhil Giri is a minister in his government, he should be sacked immediately. Apart from this, he should come to Delhi and apologize. Commenting publicly against the SC-ST community is in the real spirit of the TMC ministers. The BJP MP said that if this had happened in Uttar Pradesh, Mamata Banerjee and her leaders and intellectuals would have taken out a candle march. Today Mamta Banerjee will not say anything because her own minister has insulted Draupadi Murmu. TMC's culture is to insult women and that is their development.
The Hooghly MP said, if these people do not spare even the President of India, then what will happen to the rest of the women? Mamta Banerjee's minister's statement should be opposed not only in Delhi but in every corner of the country and all women should raise their voice. A police complaint has also been filed against TMC leader Akhil Giri in Rairangpur, Odisha. Local Rairangpur MLA Nab Charan Manji has filed this complaint. Rairangpur is the hometown of President Murmu, from where she was also an MLA. The complaint states that Giri's statement insults women and the ST/SC community. The complainant has demanded immediate arrest of Giri.
What comment did Akhir Giri make?
In protest against the remarks of Akhil Giri, the people of the tribal society blocked the road in Bankura. Not only this, all the protesters protested vigorously by stopping the car of Jyotsna Mandi, a minister in the West Bengal government. Let us tell you that while addressing a rally in Nandigram, TMC leader Akhil Giri made racist remarks against President Draupadi Murmu. Where did Giri say? 'Suvendu Adhikari is the leader of the opposition party, so say commendable things, but he says that I am bad to see. If this is so, then how is Draupadi Murmu looking? Tell Suvendu to come here in Nandigram and answer how is Draupadi Murmu looking? How is Manoj Tigga looking? You are beautiful to look at, but you are a complete cancer from inside. The cloth is good from outside but there is complete cancer from inside.
