Ratlam, Police took Congress leader and advocate Yogendrasinh Jadaun into custody from Indore in connection with the looting of urea fertilizer from the warehouse of marketing union located in Alot Nagar of Ratlam district. From there he was brought to Alot police station. On getting the information, Congress leaders and workers reached the police station and expressed their anger that the allegation of loot is false. On the other hand, the Advocates Union also boycotted the National Lok Adalat protesting against the arrest of Jadaun. Police is looking for Congress MLA from Alot Manoj Chawla and other accused in the case. Significantly, there is anger among farmers due to delay in supply of fertilizers in Rabi season.
In the Alot region, only a few farmers were able to get fertilizers till the afternoon of 10 November. The rest of the farmers were waiting in line at the fertilizer distribution center (godown) to get the fertilizer. On getting the information, MLA Manoj Chawla, Congress leader Yogendrasinh Jadaun and others reached the marketing association's center and told to give fertilizer to the farmers by keeping the receipt. There was a debate between the MLA and the center in-charge and employees regarding this. Later, when the MLA raised the shutter of the godown and asked the farmers to take manure, many farmers entered the godown and started carrying away the sacks of manure. The employees tried to stop the farmers, but they did not agree. Police reached and controlled the situation. On checking, 28 bags of fertilizers were found less in the godown.
This matter had come in the headlines in a short distance. On getting information from senior officials, Collector Narendra Suryavanshi and SP Abhishek Tiwari also reached Alot. Later in the night, the police had registered a case of obstruction and robbery against the accused MLA Chawla, Congress leader Jadaun and others under sections 353, 332 and 392 of the Indian Penal Code. Since then the police was searching for the accused. Police had received information that Jadaun was in Indore. The team reached Indore on Friday and took Jadaun into custody and brought them to Alot at quarter to twelve. According to SI Pankaj Rajput, Jadaun has been arrested.
