Alirajpur, Incidents of children falling into borewells keep coming to light from some state or the other across the country. Many children lose their lives in these accidents, while many children's lives are saved. But everyone's luck is not the same. A similar incident occurred on 12th December.

A 5-year-old boy named Vijay had come to his uncle Salam Singh's house with his family in Khandala village of Alirajpur district. Aunty and mother were busy in preparing the evening meal and Vijay, while playing with his children of the same age, went to a newly dug borewell in a field about 150 meters away from the house. The mouth of this bore, which was dug about 250 feet, was covered with a bag. Out of curiosity, the child removed the bag and tried to peek into the borewell. After which the child lost his balance and fell into the same borewell. Seeing Vijay falling into the borewell, the children standing nearby shouted loudly. The family members and other villagers immediately ran to the spot. Due to this sudden incident, the atmosphere became sad and the efforts to get innocent Vijay out safely through local jugaad did not work.
Meanwhile, the district administration got the news, Alirajpur District Collector Dr. Abhay Bedekar immediately left for the incident site, along with SP Rajesh Vyas also left for the incident site.

Collector Shri Bedekar, while reaching Khandala, instructed all the administration staff through mobile to immediately reach the spot to start the rescue work.

As soon as the District Magistrate reached the spot, he looked at the child in torchlight to inquire about his well-being, a pipe was passed to him and he was talked to. The child was stuck about 20 feet below and efforts to rescue him were not successful. Meanwhile, the huge crowd was controlled with the help of police.

Then, in compliance with the instructions issued by the Collector from the District Collector's office, Poklane and JCB machine also reached the spot. Under the proper guidance of the experienced District Magistrate and SP, a pit immediately started being dug near the bore. Meanwhile, MLA Shrimati Sena Mahesh Patel and BJP leader Inder Singh Chauhan also reached the spot. Continuous digging was carried out in the rocky ground by machines in a safe manner. After about five and a half hours of digging till the spot near the child, the rescue team, under the guidance of the District Magistrate, without any delay made a tunnel and succeeded in taking out the child from the bore. Meanwhile, thousands of people of the area including the Collector and SP keep praying for the safety of the children. Immediately after removing the innocent child Vijay from the womb, the health staff took him to the hospital in the ambulance already present at the incident site, but the innocent child had already accepted defeat from this tragic disaster. Even all the efforts dedicated to save innocent Vijay under the guidance of the sensitive District Magistrate and SP could not save Vijay from death.

The news of the death of innocent Vijay saddened and disappointed all the officers and employees engaged in this unprecedented rescue operation. The residents of Alirajpur district, including village Khandala, were taking every moment information about this rescue operation and were confident that Vijay would be victorious through their efforts to save the life of innocent Vijay, but in front of the creator's writing, the immense efforts of human beings were not successful.
