Jehanabad, A shocking news has come from Jehanabad, Bihar. A female constable posted in the jail here has committed suicide by hanging herself in her own barrack. This incident has created a stir in the entire police department. The case is of Mandal Jail located in Kako police station area. However, the reason behind this incident has not been revealed. At the same time, the deceased female constable has been identified as Shivani Kumari, 27-year-old daughter of Upendra Prasad Gupta, resident of Barauni village under Manihari police station of Katihar district.

The woman was posted as a warder

It is being told that the deceased was posted as a warder in the Mandal Jail for the last one year. As soon as the information of the incident was received, DM Alankrita Pandey, SP Arvind Pratap Singh, SDPO Sanjeev Kumar and many other officials reached the spot and took stock of the situation. In this regard, a constable posted in the jail told that she was posted as a warder in the jail for the last eight-nine months. By 12 noon on Wednesday, she went to her barrack after completing her duty where she committed suicide by hanging herself.

Police engaged in investigation
The forensic team that arrived on the information of the incident has also inspected the spot and collected evidence. The family members have been informed about the incident. The female constable's colleagues are also shocked by this incident. However, the reasons for the suicide have not been clearly known yet. At present, the police is engaged in investigating the entire matter. Prima facie, the reason for this incident is being told to be a domestic dispute. Police officials say that the reason for the incident will be known only after the arrival of the family members.

The deceased's marriage was broken
Initial investigation has revealed that the deceased's marriage which was fixed was broken and the family wanted to get her married somewhere else. Whereas the girl wanted to marry the same boy. The police is investigating some other facts in this case. Only after investigation will it be known that why the female constable has taken this horrific step.

MLA accuses police administration

Meanwhile, Ghosi MLA Rambali Yadav has made serious allegations against the police administration and said that bureaucracy is responsible for such continuous incidents in the police department. He has raised questions on the mental and physical health system of the soldiers. He has demanded a high level investigation and there is a dire need to strengthen counseling, health checkup and support system at the departmental level to prevent such cases.

This is the third incident within a month

It is worth noting that this is the third incident within a month in Jehanabad district, when people of the police department are committing suicide. In the first incident, an ASI Parmeshwar Paswan committed suicide by hanging himself in the quarters of the police station in Vanavar Tourist Police Station area on 21 April. The second incident came to light four days ago on 11 May when constable Binod Chaudhary in Jehanabad Police Line committed suicide by shooting himself with an INSAS rifle in his barrack. Today this is the third incident that has happened in the Mandal jail.
