The incident took place on Muzaffarpur-Patna National Highway No. 22 (NH-22), where traffic was also affected for some time due to fire in a moving vehicle.

According to the information, as soon as the fire broke out in the vehicle, the driver showed prudence and immediately applied brakes and parked the vehicle on the side of the road and saved his life by jumping. The fire started spreading rapidly inside the vehicle and within a few moments it started burning fiercely. A huge crowd of people gathered at the spot and the situation became very chaotic.

On receiving the information, the team of Kudhni police station and fire department reached the spot and after about half an hour of effort the fire was controlled. Fortunately, the vehicle was empty and there was no one in it, so there was no major damage or loss of life. In the initial investigation, the cause of the fire is being said to be a short circuit in the wiring. During this entire incident, the driver's promptness not only saved his life, but also averted the possibility of a major accident on the road. At present, the police have started an investigation into the incident and the vehicle has been removed from the roadside and traffic has been restored.
