Katni, Guest teachers opened a front against the government and administration in Katni. Guest teachers took out a funeral procession with all the demands and reached to surround the Collector's office. Where he submitted a memorandum to the Collector in the name of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.

The protesting guest teachers said that regular teachers should be made by conducting departmental eligibility test on the basis of experience and seniority. Along with this, a bonus of 20 percent marks should be given in teacher recruitment. Guest teachers from all over the district reached the Collectorate with all these demands. From where they took out a funeral procession to the Collector's office. During this, the guest teachers raised slogans and protested. After this, the guest teachers submitted a memorandum to the Collector in the name of the Chief Minister. During this, a large number of teachers were present. The guest teachers also told that on this day, on 2 September 2023, a Mahapanchayat of guest teachers from all over the state was called by former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan in Bhopal, in which he had made many announcements. The announcements made by the former CM have not been fulfilled by the state government till date. Due to non-fulfillment of the announcements, today on 2 September 2024, all the guest teachers of the district gathered and took out a funeral procession and protested. On the other hand, if the demands are not met by September 4, then on September 5, the guest teachers of the entire state will protest in Bhopal and will also gherao the Chief Minister's residence.
