Due to continuous rain in Bihar and Nepal, many rivers passing through Bihar are in spate. In such a situation, once again people are facing the threat of flood. The Phulwaria river connecting East Champaran and West Champaran from Bairgania block adjacent to the India-Nepal border is also in spate. In such a situation, the diversion built on it has broken due to which traffic has stopped. At the same time, the diversion built on the RCC bridge has also been washed away. Due to the breaking of the diversion of Phulwaria Ghat connecting Sitamarhi, East Champaran and West Champaran, traffic has stopped, and people are facing difficulties. Now people will have to go to East Champaran and West Champaran via Muzaffarpur. However, the government had issued a tender 4 years ago for building a bridge on the river. The bridge has not been constructed till now by the successful contractor in the tender, due to which people had to go from Sitamarhi to East Champaran and West Champaran with the help of diversion. However, the distance is reduced by about 30 to 40 kilometers by going to East Champaran and West Champaran from Phulwaria Ghat. Due to continuous rain in neighboring country Nepal and Sitamarhi district for two days, the diversion broke due to water pressure, due to which people will now have to go to East Champaran and West Champaran through another route. There is also anger among the people about this. Here, the diversion of the RCC bridge built on Jim river of Sonbarsa, the border of India and Nepal, broke, due to which direct contact of one and a half dozen villages has been cut off. Due to the fast flow of water, the diversion was washed away in the water. Now people have to go to their homes by covering a long distance of 5 to 6 kilometers through another route.
