Saharanpur, In the order of instructions given by District Magistrate Manish Bansal, Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue S.K. Patel called a meeting with District Sugarcane Officer and representatives of private sector sugar mills of the district Ganganoli, Gagalhadi, Todarpur and Bidvi regarding pending sugarcane price payment. In the meeting, District Sugarcane Officer Sushil Kumar informed about the status of pending sugarcane price payment. Bajaj Group's sugar mill Ganganoli has the highest amount of Rs 141.79 crore, sugar mill Gagalhadi sugar mill Rs 16.11 crore, Todarpur sugar mill Rs 33.75 crore, Bidvi sugar mill Rs 03.48 crore of farmers' sugarcane price is pending for payment. The Additional District Magistrate reprimanded the representatives of Sugar Mills Ganganoli and Todarpur for not making payment of outstanding sugarcane price as per the action plan and directed them to make immediate payment of outstanding sugarcane price. Also, the District Sugarcane Officer was directed to take action against the sugar mill management by lodging an FIR under relevant sections as per the rules for not making payment of outstanding sugarcane price as per the action plan. Other sugar mills Bidvi and Gagalhadi were also directed to ensure payment of outstanding dues as per the action plan. The Additional District Magistrate strictly warned all the sugar mill representatives to take strict action against the sugar mill management for not making payment of sugarcane price as per the action plan and to divert the sugarcane of the sugar mills to other sugar mills. Representatives of sugar mills including District Sugarcane Officer, Saharanpur Sushil Kumar were present in the meeting.
