Energy Education Parks have been established by CREDA to create awareness about plants and technologies based on non-conventional sources of energy and new measures for energy saving in the state. At present, 07 Energy Education Parks are operating in the state in Raipur, Patan, Rajnandgaon, Kotmi Sonar of Janjgir Champa district, Kabirdham, Bastar and Bilaspur. In these Energy Education Parks, electric models have been installed by CREDA to increase knowledge about non-conventional energy sources such as solar energy, wind energy, hydro energy, geothermal energy etc. Along with this, street lights, musical fountains etc. are also installed in the said Energy Education Parks for lighting during the night period. In order to make the electricity consumption of all these Urja Shiksha Udyan of the state Net Zero, the proposal of CREDA CEO Shri Rajesh Singh Rana for setting up solar on grid plants in 06 out of 07 Urja Shiksha Udyan of the state has been approved by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of the state Shri Vishnudev Sai. Since the Urja Shiksha Udyan operating in Rajnandgaon already has availability of solar power plants of sufficient capacity, hence the proposal of CREDA CEO Shri Rajesh Singh Rana regarding the repair of solar power plants installed in the Urja Shiksha Udyan operating here has also been approved by the Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and after the said repair work, approval has been given to make this Urja Shiksha Udyan also Net Zero. The Hon'ble Chief Minister of the state Shri Vishnudev has given approval for setting up on grid solar plants in these Urja Shiksha Udyan:

Urja Shiksha Udyan - 20 and 10 KM solar power plants in Raipur. watt i.e. total 30 kW, Energy Education Park - 20 kW in Bilaspur, 02 kW in Energy Education Park Kotmi Sonar (Janjgir-Champa), 5 kW in Energy Education Park Bastar, 06 kW in Energy Education Park Kabirdham, 35 kW in Energy Education Park Patan. By installing Solar On Grid Power Plants in these Energy Education Parks, all the electrical equipment used during day time will be operated by the solar plants only and excess power will go to CSPDCL's grid, which will be adjusted from the power consumption at night.
