Saharanpur, Principal Secretary, Sports, Youth Welfare, MSME, Khadi and Village Industries, Handloom and Textiles Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Alok Kumar held a meeting with the Industries Department and industrial organizations in the Office of Joint Commissioner Industries. On this occasion, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Hrishikesh Bhaskar Yashod, District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra, Chief Development Officer Sumit Rajesh Mahajan were present. Instructions were given by the Principal Secretary to discuss with the District Magistrate and clarify the updated situation regarding the increase in turnover, exports and employment generation of the beneficiaries benefited under the employment related schemes in the Industry Department in the last three years. He instructed the Joint Commissioner of Industries and the Deputy Commissioner of Industries to discuss with industrial organizations to promote industries in Saharanpur district, identify problems and send proposals along with suggestions to the government. Deputy Commissioner Industries Virendra Kumar Kaushal was informed about the progress regarding the beneficiaries under the schemes of One District One Product through PPT. A demand was made by industrial organizations and entrepreneurs to include hosiery as a second product under One District One Product, on which the Deputy Commissioner of Industries informed that a proposal in this regard has been sent to the government through the Directorate of Industries. Industrial organizations requested the Principal Secretary to develop industrial plots on 97 acres of land in Pilkhani Saharanpur, an industrial area developed by UPSIDA, and allot them to entrepreneurs. After talking to the senior officials of UPSIDA, the Principal Secretary assured that the plot will be allotted soon. The entrepreneurs were requested to solve the problems related to power supply to the industrial units located on Dehradun Road, on which the Chief Engineer-Electrical and Executive Engineer-Electrical were instructed to immediately get the budget and start the work. In the meeting, the CFC under construction under ODOP near the industrial area located at Pilkhani was reviewed. SPV representatives Ramji Suneja, Ravindra Miglani and Som Prakash Goyal informed that the machines have been installed in CFC and the boilers are yet to arrive. Instructions were given to SPV by the Principal Secretary that the work should be started by installing the boiler in CFC by June 30, 2024. Apart from this, the Principal Secretary also visited the Government Common Facility Center of Handicraft Export Promotion Council (EPCH) located near the Mandi Committee. During this, Joint Commissioner Industries Mrs. Anju Rani, Deputy Commissioner Industries Virendra Kumar Kaushal, Deputy Commissioner Industries Muzaffarnagar Mrs. Jasmine, Khadi Village Industries Board and Electricity Department officials along with Ramji Suneja, IIA President Anoop Khanna, Pramod Sadana, Anupam Gupta from Laghu Udyog Bharti, CIA K Ravindra Miglani, Sanjeev Sharma from IIBA, Shri Som Prakash Goyal and other officials were present.
