Storm and rain wreak havoc in Jansuraj's public meeting on Labor Day
Stage and pandal collapsed
Strong storm and rain exposed the preparations of the program in the public meeting organized by Jansuraj Party on the occasion of Labor Day. The weather suddenly changed in the meeting held at Rajendra Singh Sri Krishna High School ground in Haveli Kharagpur, due to which the stage and pandal were completely damaged and the ground turned into mud.
Complete preparations were made for the program. There was a lot of enthusiasm among the workers to welcome Jansuraj founder Prashant Kishore. A large number of people were brought to the venue by buses from various villages of the district. Apart from seating, proper arrangements for food and drinks were also made.
But as soon as the meeting started, strong storm and heavy rain destroyed the entire arrangement. The pandal collapsed and people started running here and there to save themselves from the rain. Many workers were seen protecting themselves from the rain by covering themselves with plastic pandals. The workers present on the stage tried their best to save the tent, but they proved helpless in front of the strong wind.
After the rain stopped, Prashant Kishore reached the venue and addressed the people present in the wet ground. However, due to bad weather, the impact of the program was reduced to a great extent.
