Badnavar, As soon as the announcement of Madhya Pradesh's Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Minister and regional MLA Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon being made the BJP candidate, happiness was seen among the workers in the entire region. Fireworks were burst and sweets were distributed at the bus stand. During this time a large number of party workers were present. Party's assembly convenor Mohan Singh Chauhan and city BJP president Akshay Sharma welcomed the organization's decision and claimed BJP's victory.
On Monday evening, BJP released the fourth list and announced the names of 57 candidates from Madhya Pradesh. In which the party has fielded Dattigaon as its candidate from Badnawar. Dattigaon will contest the assembly elections for the second time from BJP.
Badnawar assembly constituency falls in Dhar district. This is a high profile seat. State Government's Industries Minister Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon has been contesting 6 consecutive assembly elections from here. In which he has won the elections 4 times. Now he will enter the field again for the seventh time. Rajvardhan Singh left his job and entered politics to avenge his father's insult. Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon is considered close to Jyotiraditya Scindia. His father Prem Singh was also close to Madhavrao Scindia. Entered politics in 1998. Rajvardhan Singh was a marketing manager in the airlines company Lufthansa in the year 1990. In 1998, he left his job and contested the elections as an independent candidate. At that time, he had shown his strength as an independent by getting more than 30 thousand votes. After this he joined Congress. Became MLA for the first time in 2003. After that he was again elected MLA in 2008. But had to face defeat in the 2013 assembly elections. Later, he contested again in 2018 and defeated the then BJP candidate Bhavan Singh Shekhawat by about 41 thousand votes.
But due to his own disregard in the Congress and Congress' favoritism towards the Badnavar region, he left the Congress in 2020 and joined the BJP under the leadership of Jyotiraditya Scindia. He contested the assembly by-election on BJP ticket and won by defeating Congress candidate Kamal Singh Patel by about 32 thousand votes. Dattigaon is the Industries Minister in the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Dattigaon will become the first leader to contest seven consecutive elections.
Will contest elections on the issue of development
In the discussion, Dattigaon said that the development work worth crores of rupees done in Badnawar area during the tenure of BJP government will be distributed among the people. Will contest elections on the basis of development. Soya Plant, Textile Factory, PM Mitra Park, 2 CM Rise School are our big achievements. We have done much better work regarding water, health, education and roads. We will win the elections again with historic votes and form the government. I also express my gratitude to the organization for making me a candidate by the party. I will live up to the expectations of the party and the public.
