Saharanpur, Mirzapur police station of Saharanpur district has arrested two liquor smugglers with English and country liquor. Under the direction of Senior Superintendent of Police, Saharanpur, Dr. Vipin Tada, in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha General Elections 2024, intensive checking of crime control and suspicious vehicles is being done in the district. In the same sequence, under the direction of Superintendent of Police Rural and Police Area Officer Behat, under the able leadership of Mirzapur Police Station Incharge Inspector Pravesh Singh, a joint team of Mirzapur Police Station and Flying Squad, during checking, arrested two liquor smugglers, Iltaf alias Pravez, son of Anwar, resident of Kasampur Pulia. Village Julaha Majra police station Chhachhrauli district Yamunanagar Haryana and Neeraj alias alias Bhargo son of Jasbir resident of village Raiyowala police station Khidrabad district Yamunanagar Haryana have been arrested with a Mahindra XQV vehicle along with 324 bottles of English and country liquor Haryana brand. The police have registered a case against both the arrested liquor smugglers under the Excise Act and sent them to jail.

Mirzapur police station in-charge Inspector Pravesh Singh said that those accused of smuggling illegal liquor will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
